Q: Will track skip buttons be functional on my A6 C7?
A: Yes, they will be (with the latest MMI firmware).
Q: Will track skip buttons be functional on my B8?
A: Yes, we implemented a software trick to make this possible. The only limitation is that fast consecutive presses won’t work as well as aftermarket MMI and Bluetooth music track skipping is not possible.
Q: Can I have drive select functionality on asterisk * button on my A6 C7?
A: Yes, but only on facelift model (C7.5).
Q: How long does it take to install?
A: Depending on your experience, a complete install of our LIN and CAN module takes around 1 – 2 hours. The LIN Lite installation can be done under 30mins.
Q: Do I need to repin the yellow airbag connector?
A: We always recommend reusing the original airbag connector. But when installing a new steering wheel, you can cut the plastic trims from the connector in order to make it fit mechanically! However, the electrical connections always need to be checked a moved so they fit the pinout of the target car.
Q: My car has a dual stage airbag, do I really need to install a dual stage airbag?
A: Dual stage airbags add an extra layer of safety. That’s why we recommend installing a dual stage. There are tricks to install a single stage but these won’t be explained here.
Q: Which are the VW/Audi part numbers of the R8 gen 2 steering wheel?
